I am a self-taught designer and developer. I enjoy designing and creating websites for clients, friends and personal interests.
I'm currently working as a 🚀 UI / UX Designer & Dev at Kylo Apps in India. I've been designing and building websites 👨‍💻 for leading tech and startup businesses for the last 5 years. I also work as a freelance UI/UX designer and developer with a focus on developing user-friendly and appealing experiences.
From childhood I love to do sketching and painting. It is my passion to draw my imagination on paper. It helps me to develop creativity skill. And indirectly it helps me in designing interfaces.
I was 15 years old when I first entered the field of web. At that time I had to choose a optional subject in school. And I choose web designing, In this subject I get to know about HTML & CSS.
At the age of 18, I had to choose a career path. And I decided to opt Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in the field of Computer Science and Engineering.
Months went by quite fast as I went through college with no clear goal in mind. I believed that all I needed to do was study the topics in my textbooks and earn good grades each semester. Then I’ll be able to find a good job.
At that time, I had absolutely no idea what to start with, to get a good job. Almost 2 years passed of my college, then colleges, universities, schools were closed due to covid19. Classes were held online and have pretty much time to utilize.
A few days later, I decided to learn User Interface Designing. Doing some research where to begin with.I was 15 years old when I first entered the field of web. At that time I had to choose a optional subject in school. And I choose web designing, In this subject I get to know about HTML & CSS.
I made the decision that if I wanted to learn on my own, I would need to create my own study plan and begin my studies from scratch.
I began by learning about UI/UX and worked on Figma for roughly 4–5 hours every day on various projects. I took university courses online at the same time and entirely missed class when I was studying alone. I would participate in the classes via my phone and then study on my own.
The time I spent learning to design definitely helped me develop my abilities and, consequently, my self-confidence. Learned the UI Principles like Typography, contrast, white space, working with color combinations, different kinds of grids, layouts, shadows etc.
My Favorite YouTube channels: Design Course, Flux Jesse & Showalter
After completing few online courses, I have pretty much gained the basic concepts.
I had already worked on multiple small projects. I also had the programming background required to start my own projects. So I just started!
This was something that took me days to do. Creating projects based on a single idea is no easy task. Sometimes, I would get stuck halfway through and realize that it wasn’t possible for the project to be completed. Regardless of the results though, I always created.
Every project I’ve design, every article I’ve write starts with an idea. I would express myself through writing and creating as if no one was looking.
I had exactly 0 views when I first started making projects, sharing stories, and writing. My GitHub repository was not viewed, nor was my website, nor were my blog posts. But it made no difference.
I kept doing what I loved because I was passionate about it. Your efforts will pay off, but you’ll have to be patient. Do things purely out of passion, not because you want to profit from them.
